Kate DeCock
Kate found Bikram in New York City soon after September 11th. Seeking a spiritual, calming addition to her life, Bikram yoga was exactly what she'd hoped to find.  She welcomed the newfound physical challenges, but was even more passionately drawn to the mind and spiritual connection she experienced through yoga.   Kate's dedication to yoga has changed her life. As a teacher once told her, practicing yoga enables you to love things in your life more deeply.  Kate feels this in every part of her life and feels yoga has taught her so much about herself, others, and life in general.  One can learn invaluable life lessons through a personal, open minded yoga practice.   She is thrilled to have the opportunity to share her love of Bikram with students, in hopes they will benefit from the yoga as much as she has.
David
David was first introduced to his own body by that local legend of spinal liberation Shifu Maurice Haltom, right here in Ithaca, in the mid-1980s.  Soon after that he began his practice of yoga, being exposed to such schools as Ananda Marga, Iyengar, Jivamukti, Kripalu, Kundalini, Sivananda & Svaroopa. Then came the first Bikram's Yoga experience, twice a day for five days in a row, in October of 1998. Valentine's Day of 1999 David had the pleasure of first making Bikram's acquaintance.  David was graduated from the Yoga Teacher Training Program in early spring, returned to Ithaca and began teaching Bikram's Yoga.
